The Filipino Combative Arts Academy is conducting a weekly seminar/workshop based on Pekiti-Tirsia Kali system. Pekiti-Tirsia is an attack system of combat proven strategy, tactics and techniques executed through the principle of offense, counter-offense, and recounter-offense. Seminar instructions will provide students with clear and concise knowledge, understanding, and skill in combat blade fighting and its applications with all edged/impact/empty-hands weapons. The material presented will be geared towards certification. To obtain certification the student must have completed the required criteria’s: complete training hours, exhibit knowledge, understanding and proficiency in their skills.

Your training hours will be officially logged by the instructor, Sifu James Anonuevo, for Certification purposes. Rhode Island Deputy Sheriff James Anonuevo specializes in teaching the Indigenous Art of the Philippines, Pekiti-Tirsia Kali, as taught by the Supreme Grand Master Grand Tuhon Leo T. Gaje Jr. Sifu James is an Agalon 5th Hagdan in the Pekiti-Tirsia Kali system. Having being given this ranking by Grand Tuhon Gaje himself, James has both been given and honorably bears the responsibility of teaching and preserving this Philippine Cultural National Treasure to those who would respect, cherish and honor its significance in their daily life.
